Everything we create at Companion Creek Botanica starts with intention — and as much as possible, right here on our farm.
Our goat milk soaps and shampoos are made using fresh milk from our own goats, raised with care and fed quality ingredients to support their health and milk production. The natural butterfat in goat milk creates a rich, nourishing bar that gently cleanses while helping to support the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
We also incorporate lard from our pasture-raised pigs into some of our soaps, creating a hard, long-lasting bar with a creamy, conditioning lather that has been used traditionally for generations.
Our herbal products are crafted with the same level of care. We use a combination of herbs that we grow and forage ourselves, along with herbs sourced from trusted, reputable suppliers within the herbal community and local homestead farms. While not everything can be grown here, everything is chosen with intention.
We prioritize herbs that are organically grown or produced without sprays and chemical treatments. Many of the herbs we use are rich in naturally occurring compounds that support the body — whether that’s through gentle nourishment, calming the nervous system, or helping the body respond to stress and inflammation.
Herbalism is not about quick fixes. It’s about supporting the body over time — working with it, not against it. That’s why our formulas are simple, purposeful, and designed to be used consistently.
From the way our animals are cared for, to the herbs we thoughtfully select, to the way each batch is made — everything is done with care, intention, and respect for both the process and the people using our products.
Our journey with soap started from a very personal place.
Our family has struggled with eczema and psoriasis for most of our lives. Over time, we’ve learned that skin health is influenced not only by what we put in our bodies — but also by what we put on them.
For me (Beth), diet plays a big role. I have to be mindful of what I eat, and that has made a difference. But even after making those changes, I still dealt with dry skin and lingering eczema.
That’s where this soap became part of the picture.
After switching to our goat milk soap, my skin finally cleared — and has stayed that way for over two years now.
I believe it’s a combination of things, and I know everyone’s body is different. But what we use on our skin matters.
Many store-bought “soaps” are actually detergent-based cleansers made with synthetic ingredients and fragrance blends. While they’re effective for cleaning, they can also be drying or irritating for sensitive skin — especially with long-term use.
Our soap is different.
We make real soap using fresh goat milk and thoughtfully chosen oils. It’s designed to gently cleanse while supporting the skin’s natural barrier instead of stripping it.
Over time, we’ve heard so many stories…
Some people notice changes quickly after making the switch. Others simply find relief from dry, cracked skin — especially on their hands. Getting away from harsh cleansers can make a bigger difference than most people expect.
We would truly love to hear your story too 💛

My journey into herbalism didn’t start as a business… it started out of necessity.
For years, I struggled with ongoing health issues — stomach problems, scoliosis-related pain, joint instability, and episodes that would leave me barely able to move. It was unpredictable, frustrating, and exhausting.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, along with the many things that tend to come with it.
Like many people, I tried the conventional route first.
Medication after medication… some didn’t help, and others came with side effects that felt just as difficult as the original problem. It felt like I was constantly trying to manage symptoms without ever truly supporting my body.
That’s when I had a conversation with a dear friend — an herbalist I’ve known since high school.
That conversation changed everything.
With my background as a veterinary technician and years of working within western medicine, the shift in thinking came more naturally than I expected. At the end of the day, animals and humans share the same body systems — and the goal is always the same: support the body so it can function the way it was designed to.
Herbs offered a different approach.
Not a quick fix. Not a “take this and it goes away overnight” solution.
But support.
Herbs work with the body — helping to nourish, regulate, and restore balance over time. It’s a slower, more intentional process, but one that respects how the body actually heals.
And it doesn’t stop there.
What we put in our bodies matters just as much as what we take. Nutrition, consistency, and lifestyle all play a role in the bigger picture.
This journey has been about learning to support my body instead of fighting against it — and that’s what I hope to share with others. 🌿
Herbal teas are deeply nourishing because they deliver the vitamins, minerals, and healing plant compounds found naturally in herbs in a gentle, highly absorbable form. When steeped in warm water, herbs release antioxidants, phytonutrients, essential oils, and trace minerals that support the body’s natural healing processes. From calming the nervous system and soothing digestion to boosting immunity and easing inflammation, herbal teas offer holistic, whole-body support without overwhelming the system. Whether used daily for wellness or during times of imbalance, herbal teas provide a comforting, restorative way to care for the body with the wisdom of nature.
Herbal tinctures are powerful because they deliver concentrated plant medicine in a form the body can absorb quickly and efficiently. Extracted in alcohol or glycerin, tinctures pull out the strongest active compounds from herbs—such as alkaloids, flavonoids, and essential oils—making them highly potent and fast-acting. Unlike capsules or teas that must pass through the digestive system, tinctures begin absorbing directly through the mouth and into the bloodstream, allowing them to work quickly for sickness, pain, immune support, and a wide range of ailments. Their strength, rapid absorption, and long shelf life make tinctures one of the most effective and dependable forms of herbal medicine.
Herbal salves are highly effective because they deliver healing plant compounds directly through the skin, right to the area that needs relief. When herbs are infused into oils and thickened into a salve, their anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and pain-relieving properties absorb through the skin’s surface and into the underlying tissues. This allows targeted support for sore muscles, congestion, skin irritation, wounds, and localized pain without burdening the digestive system. The natural oils also protect and nourish the skin, helping the herbs penetrate more deeply while providing moisture and soothing comfort. This makes herbal salves a gentle, powerful tool for topical healing and everyday wellness.
